12 Nov 2015. <GB-ENG> Stratford-upon-Avon, Warw —
Woke up with a beautiful view out the kitchen window!

Went into Stratford, pausing at the Avon to have a bit of fun feeding the swans, ducks — and the inevitable seagulls!

Stratford is a lovely place, with so many old Tudor buildings it hardly knows what to do with them! Many of them were preserved, hidden, under layers of render before more enlightened people stripped this outer coat off to reveal the beauty of the old half-timbered houses.

Suzie went off to get her hair seen to, while Warren decided to drop into the Shakespeare Centre (run by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust) to have some fun with Shakespeare Aloud!, the resident troupe of players who will act out scenes on request! Suzie came to drag him out after having her time at the hair salon.

By this time, it was getting dark, so we went back to the van.

When we got to the car park, we found someone parked there who obviously wasn't contented with a motorhome or caravan!

Distance driven — today, nil; to date, 30,712 miles ( 49,427 km )

  1. Taming of the Shrew? Hamlet? Half a house on it's way to their little paradise. Bless them. Feed the birds, Tuppence a bag! Not good for them but fun for us. The gulls are not sea birds, They are human hunting guerrillas.. Just sit down somewhere, anywhere in a city park with food and watch 'em! Love ya, cathy
