We left our night stop (and the flowers — daphne — blooming right in front of the van) for what was basically another travel day, towards Villefranche. There are quite a few low-ish bridges en route, and evidence that some truckies don't believe what they're told! Caught sight of some flamingoes on the way, and passed a circus. Passed a power station gushing clouds of steam into the air. Lots of vineyards, and typical French countryside. We ended up the day in an aire, L'Aire de l'Estérel, that is undergoing considerable upgrading, with playgrounds and statues, not to mention tree-plantings, going on. This left us about half a day short of our Riviera destination.

Didja go to the circus? Didja? Don't want to tell us about it? Oh well. Daphne and flamingoes. All in a day's life. I've never seen Daphne as lush as that one. The scent must have been overpowering. You're having fun i can see. love Cathy
