Today we drove into Paris, after first breakfasting in the cafe at the Aire de Gueux, taking advantage of their WiFi to make a booking at a campsite not that far from the centre of Paris.
We found our campsite in the Bois de Boulogne! Camping Inigo Paris is a lovely campsite, with avenues of trees in full autumn colouring. They run a regular shuttle bus to the nearest metro station, Station Porte Maillot. The only downside of the site was that its WiFi was hors de service, being in the midst of an upgrade, so updating of the blog was impossible. We did have internet access on the computers provided in the reception area, but they were very limited (only a web browser, no text editor, no file browser, so there was no way of accessing already-written files on our hard drives, or of saving anything to them) and frustrating (the computers were equipped with French keyboards, which are perfectly okay for 'hunt-and-peck' typists, but are diabolical for any who use any 'muscle memory' in their typing, and a total disaster for touch typists!).
Distance driven — today, 94 miles ( 151 km ); to date, 29,782 miles ( 47,930 km )
Europem is a combination, of grand architecture, agriculture and busy roads it seems. Were the black and white birds magpies? Love ya, Cathy
