Here we are, firmly ensconced at Camping Reina Isabel, at La Zubia in Granada. Today is not particularly good for tourism, and we can't easily get to the Alhambra today, so we've decided to make this a housekeeping day -- the campsite has a good laundry, so we can get that done (3 loads!), and Suzie had a chance to catch up on her emails, and a little (lot?) more knitting.
We tried to book for the Alhambra tomorrow, but the verdammte Spanish websites typically don't accept any but Spanish credit cards. So we've decided to make an early move up to the Alhambra tomorrow and throw ourselves on the mercies of the ticket offices there. Apparently all but about 2000 tickets are allocated to the various online booking services, and you need to be early take advantage of those held aside for the ticketing at the site. Another couple, German, Siggi and Doris, were having similar troubles, so we decided to pool our resources and take a taxi up to the Alhambra at 9.00 am tomorrow! Let's see how things pan out!
The only other incident worth reporting happened at about 10pm, when a trio of young girls whose parents were in the restaurant were running wild in the camping area, and they turned off the power to a number of campsites, ours included. Well, Warren and a couple of other campers caught them in the act and marched them in to their parents in the restaurant. Let's say, there were no further problems!
