Today we bade goodbye to Riverside Camping and our friendly little tram station, and made our way from the Czech Republic and into Poland, from the land of the koruna to the land of the złoty.
By the way, we just took count of the languages we have had to deal with so far: English, Gaelic, French, Spanish, Basque, Portuguese, Catalan, Italian, Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Turkish, Romanian, German, Czech, Hungarian, and now Polish! Warren's having fun! Luckily we have always been able to fall back onto English or German, and some French.
Today was basically a travel day, so we're just going to show you a few random shots.

We've seen a few of these wide, wooded bridges.
Are they perhaps animal crossing points across the highway?

Our overall impression of Poland so far is of wide, flat countryside, large farms, and tidy little villages scattered along the way.
We ended up in a rest-stop, or picnic area, on the outskirts of the village of Przerzeczyn-Zdrój, about 70 kilometres into Poland. We had the pleasant sound of a babbling brook to keep us company overnight.
Distance driven — today, 207 miles ( 333 km ); to date, 24,969 miles ( 40,184 km )
Boy Suzie! That's a lot of kms. Twice home to Brissy and back sort of? The little countries do seem to have their own distinct touches don't they? Or did you mean Gertie-she's sort of behind wheels too? How far has she travelled all up? As you say, roadworks everywhere you go. The foresty little stream looked peaceful. So we're into Chopin country are we? I finished my four modules of teacher retraining yesterday and attended FUSA's annual volunteering expo. Found a couple of little jobs I can fit in, sort of give back sort of I guess. Apparently if you switch to Windows 10 you can get badly financially hacked hereabouts. the Uni is doing my switch but I think I'll get back onto a safety antivirus program. It is a general warning.but the scammers wouldn't get much from me, fortunately. Being poor has its advantages too! Sophie and I are going shopping for her birthday present soon. I don't know where 11 years has gone, and Darcy bless her wherever and however she is is almost 122 now. The AHPRA thing re re-registration is still going on. Had to provide something else yesterday. Truly, You'd think I was Typhoid Mary or someone, Then she said i might have to repeat my undergrad degrees again. Sheesh! Just to teach the self same subjects to others again. I think I'll notify her I have just completed four modules of Sessional teaching training at FUSA and see if that helps any. It's been going on since march I think. Anyway have fun with the currency and the cinnamon bread cylinders. We had lamb stew with rosemary dumplings for tea tonight and nice puddings and cream of some description. The only bit I did was the dumplings which David pulls out at half time, so I told him they are going to be teaspoon sized next time. Oh well love to you and your'n from us an our'n. Cathy
