11 Nov 2014. <GB-ENG> Stratford-upon-Avon, & Temple Grafton, Warw —
Today we finally got our laundry to Silly Suds in Stratford. We then went to Macca's to relax and get a little internet time. Went back to the van for lunch, then Susie took off for a beautiful winter's walk along the Avon.

Time to pick up the laundry. The parking outside the laundry was all taken, so Suzie parked up on the kerb — but she misjudged the whereabouts of a road sign pointing off to the racecourse. She collected it, doing a little damage to one of our side windows — minor damage that could be fixed up pretty well with a little clear packing tape.

Warren went off to get said tape, and on the way slipped on some debris on the pavement — most unusual for Stratford, as this is one of the cleanest places we've been to. Anyway, he came a cropper, mainly with his forehead and the pavement. Came back to the van with the tape, and a magnificent pigeon egg on his forehead. We'll keep you apprised of how it progresses, but there's a doozie of a shiner on its way!

We finally picked up the laundry and went out to the Alcester layby we've been using lately. Warren taped up the window — looks like it will last as long as we need it! Then we had dinner, watched a couple of shows, and off to bed.

Distance driven — today, 24 miles ( 39 km ); to date, 9,742 miles ( 15,679 km )
