Woke up in our woodland car park. Warren lazed on the bed while Suzie went out for an early-morning walk. Found a beach just through the woods — we were on Malltraeth Bay. By the time she got back, Warren was up.
Spent some time just catching up on paperwork before we decided to go into Holyhead to book our passage for Dublin tomorrow.
On the way, we realized we were passing Barcladiad y Gawres, another 5,000-year-old burial site. This one is one of the best, so we went in to have a look. Because of vandalism in the past, the inner chamber is locked, but the barred gate lets you see in quite well enough! The rocks even have some prehistoric painted designs on them.
Anyway, once we had poked about in there, it was on towards Holyhead. Detoured once again into a Morrison's supermarket to replenish our stores, which were getting low. Then in to the Ferry Terminal to book our passage on Stena Line — £219 for the two of us and the van. We leave at 1:50pm tomorrow and the crossing takes 3¼ hours — then we'll be in Dublin!
On our way out to a layby we had noticed, we stopped in at McDonald's to catch up on our blog. Children had been vandalizing the publicly-accessible power points, so the management had had them all removed — which meant, as the computer was running low, we only had about an hour to play with. Got the job done, then out about 5 minutes to the south to settle in for the night.
Distance driven — today, 25 miles ( 40 km ); to date, 1,176 miles ( 1,893 km )
