A wet day, so we decided on housekeeping. We were close to Stratford, and we knew of a laundry in there, so that was our first call. Would you believe they couldn't do it for us — we suspect they might have been a high-end laundry and dry-cleaner contracting to hotels. But they put us on to Silly Suds in Greenhill Street, who were able to take on our wash! That gave us a few hours, so we went out to Morrison's and did a 4-day shop, coming out to have our lunch in the van in the car park — it was still raining! We then stayed in the car park while Suzie caught up with her journal and Warren — the lazy sod — just read a science-fiction book!
We then went up to Maplin, a big computer store, and got a new 8Gb Flash Card for Warren's camera, and a new 2Tb hard drive to accommodate the heaps of photos we are taking!
We then went to Boots Chemists to get something that is now starting to become more of a necessity — hot water bottles! It's not really cold yet, but the signs are there!
Still raining, all jobs done, we went back to Macca's near Alcester (and near our welcoming layby on the A46!). Did a little blogging and email, then adjourned to the layby, to find it stuffed with semi-trailers! But we were able to squeeze ourselves in at the end of the queue, so all was well — but too dark for a photo, so sorry guys!
